In May, the rubberized court surface for the outdoor court of the Jeffrey Caines Arena in Virgin Gorda was completed. Final works on both the Carrot Bay and Long Bush Reservoir sites were also completed in May, which will facilitate more reliable water distribution to surrounding areas. Practical completion has now been achieved for four of the six road rehabilitation sites, namely Great Mountain 1, Hope to Sabbath Hill, Little Dix Hill and Bob’s Gas Station. Works at the Great Mountain 2 and Ballast Bay sites are expected to be completed by mid-June. Once asphalting works on these sites has been done, work on the last two packages, namely Fish Bay and Long Trench, will begin. Contracts for these last two Road Rehabilitation packages are expected to be signed in the coming weeks. Also in May, final approval for the grid-tie solar generation system installed at the Leonora Delville Primary School was secured and the system can now be commissioned. Installation of two additional systems at Ivan Dawson Primary School and at the Jost Van Dyke Clinic also form part of this project.
