In January 2022, works continued across ongoing RDA-implemented projects, and practical completion was reached on the Demolition Works for the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS). Public meetings were held on the completed designs for the High School buildings, both with teachers and staff, as well as the broader community. Feedback from these meetings have been fed into the designs and the procurement process. Following a shortlisting process, the full tender process will be opened for shortlisted contractors to submit bids for construction of the outlined ESHS packages in February. This project is scheduled to be completed by September 2022. Also in January 2022, an invitation to tender was issued for additional works on the Road Town Police Station, with submissions due in early February 2022. In terms of CDB-RRL funded projects, in January 2022, work recommenced on the Fish Bay road rehabilitation site after a break in December 2021, with significant work done on the drains along the roadside, including concrete pouring. The main road at Fish Bay has remained open to vehicular traffic. The Flax Administration Building in Virgin Gorda, completed in 2021, was officially handed over to Central Government at the end of January 2022, with a ceremony held to mark the occasion. All three Government buildings (Flax, Vanterpool and North Sound/George) in Virgin Gorda have been refurbished under the CDB-RRL, and the completed Vanterpool building is scheduled to be officially handed over to Central Government in February 2022.
