In October, asphaltic works were completed for all six  of the initial road and slope stabilisation project sites funded by the CDB RRL loan, namely Great Mountain I and II, Little Dix Hill, Hope to Sabbath Hill, Ballast Bay, and Bob’s Gas Station sites. Work continues on slope stabilisation for the Long Trench site. For the final Fish Bay site, several meetings were held with business owners ahead of construction of the bypass road, scheduled to begin in early November.  Also in October, work on the Zion Hill Reservoir reached practical completion, and this activity is expected to be handed over in early November.

Regarding other projects, required inspections for the JVD Clinic which is the final of the initial three Renewable Energy sites which included Leonora Delville and Ivan Dawson, were completed in October. Funding has been received for an additional three sites for this overarching renewable energy program. Also in October, a site visit and bidder’s conference for car park and other auxiliary works required to complete the Virgin Gorda Sports Complex project were held.
