In September, the completed Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary Division buildings were handed over in a ceremony on Virgin Gorda. Also in September, a community meeting was held in Anegada following substantial completion of the Theodore Faulkner Administration Complex as well as fencing around the Anegada Recreational Facility. A contract for rehabilitation of the Fish Bay Road was signed with Autland Heavy Equipment, which is the final package for the CDB-funded Road Rehabilitation works.
Upcoming projects which are nearing completion, and are scheduled to be completed prior to the end of the year include the Water Network Improvement works on Tortola, the Vanterpool Administration Building in Virgin Gorda, Repairs to the AG’s Residence (Estate House #1), and the Virgin Gorda Sports Complex. In anticipation of future procurement of upcoming projects currently in planning, the RDA held a procurement workshop to further acquaint contractors with RDA procurement processes.
