General Manager for the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) Mr. Leroy A.E. Abraham has disclosed that three new feeders have been restored on the electricity grid as restoration efforts continue.

Mr. Abraham said, “These feeders are Pockwood Pond East, Ridge Road 1 from the Long Bush Substation and Ridge Road 2 from the Long Swamp Substation.”

Mr. Abraham added, “By the end of March, the corporation is expected to have restored 98 percent of the Territory’s electricity grid, taking into account that certain buildings are not structurally sound for reconnection.”

Restoration of electricity is 95 percent complete on Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. Power has also been restored on 90 percent of Tortola and not 98 percent as was recently released.
