In December 2020, substantial completion was achieved on the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground Grandstand. Completion of the Grandstand activity means that only the Lighting activity is left for completion at this stage, which will bring to a close the largest Phase One project.<\/p>\n

Work continued on the CDB-funded infrastructure projects.\u00a0 These included road rehabilitation and slope stabilization projects, the water reservoirs, \u00a0the Bregado Flax Educational Centre in Virgin Gorda and the Flax and Vanterpool Administration Buildings in Virgin Gorda..<\/p>\n

Site visits were held at the Jeffery Caines Sports Arena and at the Anegada Recreation Grounds for the supply and installation of the required rubberized court surfaces, with bids received for both within the month. Calls for expressions of interest were also issued for the Technical Design Planning for the ESHS Redevelopment project, as well as the Waste Management Feasibility and Concept Design.<\/p>\n

The August 2019 Monthly Report contains status updates of projects during that month, as well as news on planning, policy and communications.<\/p>

A brief summary of the report:<\/span><\/p>

  1. There are seven projects in the planning phase, four in the procurement phase and eight in the operations phase.\u00a0 Two projects have been completed.<\/li>
  2. A list of events and communication releases for the entire month is included.<\/li>
  3. The RDA has a list of confirmed grants\/contributions that will fund some of our many projects.<\/li>
