Friday is the final day for interested contractors to submit their expressions of interest to the RDA for the construction of new classrooms at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS).<\/p>\n

This is a first step in the process to relocate ESHS Senior Students from the CTL Building in Pasea back to the main ESHS campus.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, at a contract signing ceremony for the Long Trench Slope Stabilization and Road Rehabilitation Project, Premier of the Virgin Islands Honourable Andrew A. Fahie publicly announced the plans to relocate the students.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project with the moving of our children, our senior students and also the teachers and support staff from the CTL building to the Elmore Stoutt High School campus is a project that is already on the way, which we will be moving very swiftly with, with a projected date of completion by the end of April 2022,\u201d the Premier said.<\/p>\n

Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture Honorable Natalio Wheatly in a statement on the reopening of schools this week said, \u201cThe Premier and Minister of Finance has agreed to finance the construction of additional school buildings on the Elmore Stoutt High School Campus to accommodate senior school students presently housed at Pasea Estate, and the growing population of Junior School students,\u201d<\/p>\n

The Recovery and Development Agency invited contractors who specialize in prefab\/modular building construction to participate in the pre-qualification process for the ESHS Re-development Project via its website and social media channels on 28 July, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This pre-qualification is open to national and international contractors. To be considered for pre-qualification, the following pre-qualification criteria must be met:<\/p>\n

  1. Experience of the firm<\/li>\n
  2. Past Performance<\/li>\n
  3. Personnel capability<\/li>\n
  4. Equipment Capability<\/li>\n
  5. Financial Resources<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The deadline for submissions is Friday, 13 August, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.<\/p>\n
