Kabir is currently serving as the Head of Financial Services Policy in the Overseas Territories and Policy Directorate in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
Prior to this, he served in Saudi Arabia from September 2016 to October 2024. He initially served as Her Majesty’s Deputy Consul General (DCG) and Head of Trade and Investment at the British Consulate in Jeddah before moving onto his role as Head of Trade and Chief Operating Officer at the British Embassy, Riyadh in August 2020. He served in this role until October 2024.
