Serving the role of RDA Environmental Specialist, Clive Petrovic represents the interests of the environment on all RDA projects. As a trained field ecologist, he has conducted research in marine and terrestrial habitats in the BVI and 50 countries worldwide. In his 40 years in the BVI, Clive has skippered sailing and diving yachts, managed an environmental consulting business, and set up the marine studies programme at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC). The combination of environmental research and teaching are fundamentally important for the future of the local community.
Clive’s educational background includes studies at the University of Miami and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University where he conducted ecological research on small islands in the Great Lakes. He has been a visiting scientist and scholar at numerous universities in the United States. Most recently, he served as Head of Marine Studies at HLSCC. As a field oriented scientist, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for the environment with students of all ages.
