Karlene started her career at KPMG Jamaica, in 1997 as Assistant Accountant. There she studied ACCA and was trained in sound accounting and auditing techniques. During her tenure (approximately 6 years), Karlene completed her ACCA exams in 2004 and was promoted to Accountant.
After leaving KPMG, she held several positions in Internal Audit and External Audit but decided to return to her first love of Accounting.
In 2011, Karlene started her career in the public sector as an Accountant in the Accountant General Department where she was commended to bringing the Financial Statements up to date. She continued to the Social Development Commission (SDC) where she gave six years of invaluable service.
Ms. Johnson is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and was a member of the Public Sector Committee of the ICAJ.
Karlene is a devout Christian and continues to lead a career with a high level of professionalism, dependability and integrity.
