Claudine Dickson-Ramnarine is an internal auditor with a genuine passion for ensuring organizational compliance and operational efficiency. Her journey began at the age of 18 when she started teaching at the Open Bible High School. Claudine dedicated nearly 20 years to education, eventually becoming the Vice Principal before embarking on her career path. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she also shared her knowledge as a lecturer, instructing on various Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) papers such as Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, Governance, Risk and Ethics, Corporate Reporting, and Advanced Audit and Assurance, and serves as an Assistant Chief Examiner for the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
Her journey towards gaining the required expertise in her field has been paved by milestones such as achieving fellowship status with ACCA, acquiring the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification, obtaining the National Examination Board Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) HSE Certification in Process Safety Management, earning the ACCA Certificate in Data Analytics, and currently pursuing Certifications in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA).
Claudine’s meticulous approach to her work allows her to identify potential areas of improvement and devise robust solutions to mitigate risks while optimizing processes. She possesses exceptional analytical skills, enabling her to delve into financial records, conduct comprehensive audits, and evaluate internal procedures with utmost precision. Her deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices empowers her to provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management, making her a trusted advisor at all levels.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Claudine finds joy and solace in spending time with her husband and three children. She recently developed a green thumb and has a deep appreciation for Korean culture which includes watching Korean dramas and movies, learning the language, and trying traditional Korean cuisine.
Claudine’s strong belief in the importance of education led her to recently accept the appointment as the Membership Officer for the Institute of Internal Auditors Trinidad and Tobago for the period 2023 to 2025. In this role, she actively contributes to the growth and development of the internal audit profession in her region, facilitating networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development for members.
