The Recovery and Development Agency intends to prequalify contractors for Construction of a new Jost Van Dyke Primary school. In 2017 Hurricanes Irma and Maria caused significant infrastructure damage to the school. Since then, it received some temporary repairs through the efforts of charities and philanthropic gifts. It is however still vulnerable and represents a sub-optimal learning environment for children.
The key elements of the scope of works include:
(a) Construction of a two-story (3 level) building,
(b) Roof Installation
(c) MEP Installation
(d) Construction of a Wastewater Treatment plant, and
(e) Auxiliary works.
It is expected that the Invitations to tender for these works will be issued before the end of April 2022.
The requirements for pre-qualification will include:
- an average annual turnover (defined as billing for works in progress and completed) over the last 5 years of US$1.5 million.
- demonstrable cash flow (including access to credit) of US$250,000
- experience as prime contractor in the construction of at least 1 assignment of a nature and complexity comparable to the proposed project activity within the last 5 years (to comply with this requirement, works quoted should be at least 80 percent complete).
A copy of the detailed Invitation for Pre-Qualification document can be obtained by sending a request to: procurement@bvirecovery.vg. Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Prequalification submissions must be in English and must be emailed by 1600 hours, local time on Wednesday 16th, March 2022.
