Background:
Estate House #2, formerly called the Chief Minister’s House, is located on Crown land in MacNamara, Road Town, Tortola. The structure has deteriorated due to prolonged vacancy and damage from the 2017 storms. The Deputy Governor’s Office proposes to demolish the existing structure and construct a new residence to serve as accommodation for visiting judges. The new building will be situated on approximately ¼ acre of subdivided land.
The Client intends to construct a single-storey, approx. 2,400 square foot residential building with an adjoining structure. The objective is to engage a qualified architectural and engineering design team to provide comprehensive design and documentation services for the development of a resilient, efficient, and modern residential property, incorporating high-quality finishes, sustainable systems, and smart-home features.
The RDA now invites suitable firms to submit proposals for the design of Estate House #2/Oleander House located at Road Town, Tortola.
The Procurement method will be conducted through the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) process.
