Background:
The Major Peebles Wing (formerly Old Peebles Hospital) is a key public healthcare facility located in Road Town, Tortola. Over the years, the existing roof system has experienced significant deterioration, leading to waterproofing failures, inadequate drainage performance, and increased maintenance demands. In addition, the current lightning protection system requires evaluation and upgrading to enhance the safety, reliability, and resilience of the facility and its occupants.
This project comprises the repair and rehabilitation of the roof of the Major Peebles Wing, together with the installation of a compliant lightning protection system. Upon completion, the works will improve the building’s weatherproofing and drainage capabilities, strengthen occupant safety, reduce ongoing maintenance requirements, and extend the overall operational lifespan of the facility.
The Procurement method will be conducted through the National (Domestic) Competitive Bidding (NCB) process.
