BACKGROUND:
The Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital and Annex are critical healthcare facilities in the British Virgin Islands. Since their completion in 2014, maintenance has been limited, resulting in deterioration of roofing systems, guttering and lightning protection infrastructure. The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) is undertaking capital repairs to restore these essential systems to extend service life, improve safety, and minimize risk to hospital operations.
The RDA now invites eligible and qualified tenderers to submit tenders for the works which include roof and guttering repairs to the hospital and annex buildings, repairs to lightning protection systems on both buildings in compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and hospital operational requirements.
The procurement method will be conducted through the National (Domestic) Competitive Bidding (NCB) process.
