ITT Number: RDA/ITT/2026/002/NCB
Background:
The existing sidewalks along de Castro Street have remained in a deplorable condition for several years, posing ongoing safety and accessibility concerns for pedestrians. Extensive deterioration is evident throughout the corridor, with cracked, uneven, and displaced pavement creating hazardous walking conditions, particularly for persons with physical disabilities.
A significant contributing factor to this deterioration is the overgrowth of roadside trees, whose aggressive root systems have grossly compromised the structural integrity of the sidewalks. In many locations, tree roots have uplifted and fractured the pavement, resulting in severe level changes, narrowed walking paths, and obstructions that further limit safe pedestrian movement.
The RDA now invites tenders from eligible and qualified Tenderers for the demolition, reconstruction, and replacement of sidewalks and associated landscaping along de Castro Street in Road Town, British Virgin Islands.
The Procurement method will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) process.
The full tender package including the detailed scope of works and other supporting documents can be requested from the RDA’s at procurement@bvirecovery.vg
