In April 2023, initial planning continued on projects recently assigned to the RDA, including the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, the Agriculture and Fisheries Complex and Farmers Reservoir, and the National Cultural Centre, Archives, Library and Museum (Heritage Village). Statements of Requirement are being prepared, finalised and signed-off for these three projects. Works continued on the Joint Marine Shore Base, with the old building completely demolished, and formwork and concrete pouring for the foundation of the new building completed in April. This project is on-track to be completed in the first quarter of 2024. In Jost Van Dyke, works continued on the Multipurpose Educational Facility, with formwork commencing on the roof slab in April, having completed electrical and plumbing fixes on the first floor. Plastering has been completed for the basement floor, and commenced in April on the ground floor. This project is scheduled to be completed in time for commencement of the new school year in September. The Anegada Recreation Facility has now been completed, and plans are in place for picnic benches, lighting and bleacher seating as the final touches for the Facility. A formal handover for this project is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Based on the current program, the RDA has successfully completed 40 or 51% of the 79 project interventions assigned. In the coming weeks, the RDA will seek to confirm the list of projects in the Recovery to Development program as well as the preliminary funding requirement as we continually work to deliver our mandate.
