In August 2024, the procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with a Bidders’ Pre-bidding conference which involved an information session and site visit. Construction continued on the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, namely completion of foundation backfilling and progressive works on assembly of the superstructure. For the Water Optimisation project, the procurement process continued for the Supply and Installation of Water Meters for Reservoirs across the Territory. The first training session for the other activity under the project: Leak Detection Services is scheduled for September 2024. The Agriculture and Fisheries Complex project continued to progress through the procurement phase with bid evaluation and contract award for designs, and designs for the Reservoir and foundation were submitted by the consultant of the Farmers’ Reservoir project. Additionally, stakeholder engagement for both projects continued in August 2024.
At the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre, construction works continued alongside the contractors’ procurement of long lead items. Stakeholder engagement such as bi-weekly project updates and site visits continued in August 2024 with key stakeholders of the Eslyn Henley Richiez project. Internet connection remained outstanding for the installed and commissioned renewable energy system at the Pier Park for the Renewable Energy Installations project. Stakeholder engagement continued for the Halls of Justice project, with meetings held with key government stakeholders to discuss and review matters regarding project scope. In addition, a value engineering exercise is being conducted on the completed designs for this project. The planning process and stakeholder engagement also continued for the National Cultural Centre, Archives, Library and Museum. These included on-site visits and regular communication on updates aimed at ensuring speedy resolution of issues and that stakeholders are consistently apprised of project progress. Similarly, the planning process for the Immigration Detention Centre continued with stakeholder engagement involving the revision of project scope of works and deliverables.
