In February 2022, the RDA continued to work in partnership with Central Government in delivering projects from the Recovery to Development Plan. In this vein, please find attached the February 2022 Monthly Report which details project progress. You will notice a somewhat enhanced layout of the Report this month, aimed at streamlining reporting and better highlighting specific monthly project progress, and RDA performance.
In February 2022, works continued across ongoing RDA-implemented projects. Specifically, an invitation to tender (ITT) was issued to prequalified contractors for packages to redevelop the Elmore Stoutt High School, following completion of demolition works in January. Submissions to the ITT are due in March 2022, making way for anticipated project completion by September of this year. In Virgin Gorda, works continued on the car park at the Sports Complex, with compacting of sub-grade in the area to prevent water settlement. Completion of the car park, expected within the first half of this year, will bring the VG Sports Complex project to a close.
Also in February 2022, additional works began on the Road Town Police Station which are scheduled to be completed in March; and final works continued on refurbishment of Estate House #1 (AG’s Residence) which is scheduled to be completed in April 2022. In terms of CDB-RRL funded projects, in February 2022, extensive work at the Fish Bay road rehabilitation site continued, with continuing work on drainage and sidewalks along the roadway, following which the road will be resurfaced. This project activity is scheduled to be completed during the second quarter of this year. Also in February 2022, the final CDB-funded Government building on Virgin Gorda, namely the Vanterpool Administration Building, was handed over to Central Government, marking successful completion of the refurbishment of all three Government buildings (Flax, Vanterpool and North Sound/George) in Virgin Gorda, funded by the CDB RRL.
