In February 2024, the report on results from the geotechnical investigation services was submitted and the procurement process for the design consultant continued for the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex. For the Farmers Reservoir Paraquita Bay, the procurement process for the design consultant and tank supply and installation continued with the drafting of two Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Efforts remained underway to complete minor outstanding issues towards full closure of the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility project while at the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Marine Base, Construction works continued and signage designs approved, with completion scheduled for early March 2024. For the West End Ferry Terminal project, the Ministry of Communications and Works (MCW), BVI Ports Authority and RDA agreed to utilize the future barge ramp area as the temporary ferry terminal during the construction phase. Approval was granted by the Ministry of Communications and Works for the RDA to proceed with the Temporary Facility design. Construction work continued in February 2024 for the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Center, with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing being prepped for casting of the ground floor slab. Casting is scheduled to be completed in early March. In February 2024, the revised technical drawings, Bill of Quantities and Scope of Works (SoW) were submitted to procurement for the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre. As for the Halls of Justice project, the consultant continued developing the final design for the Halls of Justice project. The final project design is expected to be completed by April 15, 2024. Thereafter, prequalification of contractors in the procurement process is expected to commence. Community engagement is scheduled to be planned simultaneously while drawings are in progress. Also in February 2024, planning for geotechnical investigation services for the project remained in progress. Mobilization for these services is anticipated for April 22, 2024. Structural assessment and mold reports for the 1780 Lower Estate Sugar Works Museum were received and are being reviewed.
