In July 2022, work continued across ongoing RDA-implemented projects. Specifically in July, work continued in earnest on the Redevelopment of the Elmore Stoutt High School: blockwork was completed for all four buildings, and work continued on internal and external plastering, readying for installation of windows and doors, and painting. Following installation of windows and doors, internal works will be completed, and fixtures and fittings will be installed. Also in July 2022, submissions for prequalification for construction of the Marine Base main building were due. Following shortlisting, full tenders will be due from shortlisted contractors. Construction on the Marine Base main building is expected to commence within the third quarter of this year. In July 2022, following receipt and evaluation of tender submissions for construction of the Jost Van Dyke Primary School, a contractor was chosen. The contract will be awarded and signed in August facilitating commencement of construction works.
In terms of CDB-RRL funded projects, in July 2022, works on the drainage, pipe installation and road resurfacing were completed on the Fish Bay road, bringing the main contract to practical completion. The road now awaits asphalting, including installation of permanent speed bumps to manage traffic. Also in July 2022, a poll on options for the external façade design of the West End Ferry Terminal was launched for community feedback and public consultation. The final decision on the façade will be incorporated in the detailed design advancing to procurement. On the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre, tender submissions for construction of the school are due in September, following which evaluation and contract award will take place. Confirmation of additional funding for the Magistrate’s Court project will facilitate this project proceeding from planning to procurement.
