In March 2022, work continued across ongoing RDA-implemented projects. Specifically, in March, contracts were signed with the winning contractors for the Elmore Stoutt High School redevelopment project, with the ongoing CTL relocation phase scheduled to be completed by September of this year. Also in March 2022, three ongoing projects approached substantial completion, namely the Virgin Gorda Sports Complex with the car park being the final activity to be completed, Phase 2 of the Road Town Police Station, and Estate House #1/AG’s Residence. Also in March 2022, required equipment for the three additional solar energy projects – Enis Adams Primary, Francis Lettsome Primary, and Solar Power Boxes – arrived in the Territory and work began on installation.
In terms of CDB-RRL funded projects, in March 2022, extensive work on drainage and sidewalks at the Fish Bay road rehabilitation site continued following construction of the retaining wall. This project activity will now also include pipe relocation on behalf of the Water and Sewerage Department, following which the road will be resurfaced. Also in March 2022, the required Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) for the preliminary design of the West End Ferry Terminal was completed, moving the detailed design process for this important project forward.
