Brief Overview of Project Updates – March 2025 Monthly Report:
- Halls of Justice: The project awaited confirmation of funding following client approval of the revised drawings.
- Road Town Development Partnership: Planning continued in March 2025 with stakeholder engagement. This involved a meeting with the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
- BVI Health Services Authority Infrastructure Improvements: Planning continued for the project, namely preparation of the baseline schedule and budget cashflow.
- West End Ferry Terminal: The procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with the preparation of the bid evaluation report for submission to CDB. A draft revised project budget and programme was also developed.
- Road Reconstruction Programme: The project budget was revised to reflect the allocated project funding and the scope further reduced from four sections of road to three sections. These three sections include Fort Hill, Windy Hill and Joe’s Hill, with a partial section of roadway to be worked on for the latter.
- Water Optimization: A project status meeting was held with the client Ministry to discuss the methodology and proposed scheduling of works for the Supply and Installation of the Reservoir Water Meters project activity.
- Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex: Planning for the Agriculture and Fisheries Complex project continued with the review of the User Requirement Document (URD)..
- Farmers’ Reservoir: The procurement process continued for the project. The sole tenderer submitted a revised proposal which is currently being reviewed.
- Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre: Construction works for this project continued in March 2025. There was also an official site visit with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Renewable Energy Installations: Planning continued for procurement of the required EV charger for the Tortola Pier Park Power Box site.
- National Cultural Centre, Archives, Library and Museum: This project remained on hold pending further direction from the client Ministries.
- Waste Management Solutions: This project remained on hold pending further direction from the client Ministries.
- Immigration Detention Centre: The RDA received five proposals for the Design and Construction Management Services of the Immigration Detention Centre project.
- JVD Pond Restoration: Darwin Plus issued a Final Report review which deemed the JVD Pond Restoration project feasible. Review and preparation for grant application for Phase 2 of the project is expected to commence in April 2025.
- AO Shirley Recreation Grounds: Ongoing efforts continued to bring outstanding project activities to a close. In March 2025, this involved continuation of the procurement process whereby two bidders’ conferences (one virtual and one in-person), as well as a site visit were held.
