In September 2022, work continued across ongoing RDA-implemented projects. Specifically in September, work continued in earnest on the Redevelopment of the Elmore Stoutt High School. Additional shipments of windows and doors were received in September, facilitating installation and continuation of internal works including plumbing and electrical installations. External works on the school began in September, following contract signature in August. This project is now expected to be completed by the end of October 2022. Also in September, a Stakeholder Meeting was held for the Marine Base main building, to discuss project scope and timelines following invitations to tender being issued in August 2022. The scheduled tender period for the Marine Base main building is six weeks. Construction work began on the Jost Van Dyke Primary School Redevelopment project in September, including excavation and preparatory foundation works. This project is scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2023 school year (September 2023).
In terms of CDB-RRL funded projects, in September 2022, the asphalt mix was approved and preparations were made for asphalting the Fish Bay road. Due to unsuitable weather conditions however, laying of the asphalt was postponed. The road is expected to be completed within the coming weeks. Also in September 2022, the Geotechnical design for the West End Ferry Terminal was completed and submitted. Work has continued on the detailed design of the West End Ferry Terminal, which will incorporate the chosen external façade. On the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre, the BQs for tender submissions were revised in September, and the deadline for tender submissions has been extended to mid-October 2022. Work on the detailed design for the Magistrate’s Court (comprehensive Halls of Justice) project continued in September 2022, following which this project will proceed to procurement.
