In September 2023, works on the Jost Van Dyke (JVD) Multipurpose Educational Facility continued, involving internal finishings and completion of exterior and interior painting. This project is now scheduled to be delivered within the fourth quarter of this year. Works continued on the Joint Marine Shore Base in September, with continued MEP works and installation of windows and doors. This project is ahead of schedule and may be completed before the end of this year, or early next year, before its February 2024 deadline.
The nine submissions received for prequalification of the West End Ferry Terminal construction were evaluated in September, and qualifying firms will be eligible to receive the tender documentation once this is completed and approved. Architectural drawings for the Terminal have now been approved by the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department.
Amended drawings for the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre have been resubmitted to TCP for approval. Following signature of the Statement of Requirement (SoR) for the Agriculture and Fisheries Complex and Farmers Reservoir in mid-September, a tender for geotechnical surveys for these projects was also issued in September. Planning efforts have continued on projects recently assigned to the RDA, including the National Cultural Centre, Archives, Library and Museum (Heritage Village), and the Multipurpose Training and Detention Centre. Based on the current program, the RDA has successfully completed 41 or 51% of the 81 project interventions assigned.
In the coming weeks, the RDA will continuously seek to confirm the list of projects in the Recovery to Development program as well as the preliminary funding requirement as we work to deliver our mandate, within the context of the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) Framework.
