MONTHLY REPORT – May 2024
In May 2024, the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex continued to progress through the procurement phase with evaluators assessing scores from the tender process for the design consultant. The Farmers’ Reservoir (Paraquita Bay) similarly progressed through the procurement phase with approval of contract award to the winning bidder for design consultant services. Additionally, stakeholder engagement continued for these two projects, including meeting with key stakeholders to discuss technical matters surrounding water distribution and availability to ensure the project’s targeted outcomes are ultimately achieved.
MONTHLY REPORT – April 2024
In April 2024, the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Marine Base project had its official opening ceremony A list of defects was submitted to the contractor with most being subsequently resolved. For other projects, such as the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex, a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) was issued for a design consultant, with a tender deadline of April 8, 2024. The Farmers Reservoir (Paraquita Bay) progressed through procurement phase with the closure of tender activity for the Design Consultant services (RFP) and commencement of evaluations. Efforts continued during the month of April, to complete minor outstanding issues towards full closure of the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility project while at the Eslyn Henly Richiez Learning Centre, construction works continued on the superstructure

In March 2024, the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Marine Base project progressed to 96% completion despite delays in shipment of some specialist supplies. Permanent power and water connections were installed at the Marine Base, facilitating expected achievement of practical completion. For other projects, such as the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex, a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) was issued for a design consultant, with a tender deadline of April 8, 2024. For the Farmers Reservoir Paraquita Bay, the procurement process for design consultant services continued with a deadline of April 19, 2024.
MONTHLY REPORT – February 2024
In February 2024, the report on results from the geotechnical investigation services was submitted and the procurement process for the design consultant continued for the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex. For the Farmers Reservoir Paraquita Bay, the procurement process for the design consultant and tank supply and installation continued with the drafting of two Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Efforts remained underway to complete minor outstanding issues towards full closure of the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility project while at the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Marine Base, Construction works continued and signage designs approved, with completion scheduled for early March 2024.
MONTHLY REPORT – January 2024
In January 2024, the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility’s official opening ceremony was held, representing a significant milestone of education sector project achievement for the RDA and the first of its kind multifaceted educational facility for the people of Jost Van Dyke and the BVI Territory at large. Efforts are currently underway to complete minor outstanding issues towards full closure of this project. Works on the Joint Marine Shore Base building continued in January 2024, with completed installation of doors, windows, handrails, wall tiles, the boat rack platform, car park and road to boat. For the West End Ferry Terminal project, the Town and Country Planning Department and the Building Authority issued full approval for the West End Ferry Terminal project.
