MONTHLY REPORT – October 2024
In October 2024, the signing of Statement of Requirements (SoRs) for the Road Town Improvement and Jost Van Dyke (JVD) Pond Restoration projects formally signaled assigning of two additional projects to the RDA. As such, the Road Town Improvement project was in planning phase for October 2024, whilst the JVD Pond Restoration project was in delivery phase. The procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with contract clarifications requested and responded to by the consultant and the RDA.
MONTHLY REPORT – September 2024
In September 2024, the procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with contract clarifications requested and responded to by the consultant and the RDA. Bidders also continued work on submissions for 25thOctober 2024 deadline. In other projects, such as the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, construction activities continued such as the concrete pour for the roof slab was completed, alongside completion of the superstructure and external plastering. For the Water Optimization project, the procurement process continued for the Supply and Installation of Water Meters for Reservoirs across the Territory.
MONTHLY REPORT – August 2024
In August 2024, the procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with a Bidders’ Pre-bidding conference which involved an information session and site visit. Construction continued on the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, namely completion of foundation backfilling and progressive works on assembly of the superstructure. For the Water Optimisation project, the procurement process continued for the Supply and Installation of Water Meters for Reservoirs across the Territory. The first training session for the other activity under the project: Leak Detection Services is scheduled for September 2024. The Agriculture and Fisheries Complex project continued to progress through the procurement phase with bid evaluation and contract award for designs, and designs for the Reservoir and foundation were submitted by the consultant of the Farmers’ Reservoir project.
MONTHLY REPORT – July 2024
In July 2024, CDB provided ‘No Objection’ for the West End Ferry Terminal. The ‘No Objection’ is required for continuation and issuance of the tender package for the West End Ferry Terminal project. In other projects, such as the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, construction activities commenced in July 2024 and steadily progressed with foundation work and assembling of steel reinforcement. For the Water Optimisation project, contract for consultancy on the provision of Leak Detection Services was signed for developing the capacity of local contractors and the Water and Sewage Department, as well as to improve leak detection and curtail non-revenue water.
MONTHLY REPORT – June 2024
In June 2024, the contract signing for the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre project signaled completion of the procurement process for that project. For other projects, such as the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex project progression through the procurement phase continued with completion of design consultancy evaluations. Stakeholder engagement for this project, as well as for the Farmers’ Reservoir Paraquita Bay project continued in June 2024. Additionally, efforts persistent to complete outstanding issues towards full closure of the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility project. At the Eslyn Henly Richiez Learning Centre, construction works continued, especially casting of the roof slab.
