Project Update Highlights – February 2026 Monthly Report:
- Halls of Justice: In February 2026, the design phase for the Halls of Justice project continues to be at 95% completion, with the project design currently pending formal approval by the Building Authority.
- Derelict Vessels: In February, work continued for the Derelict Vessels Removal & Disposal Project with the project progressing beyond the initial scope. The total number of extracted vessels reached thirty-two (32) out of thirty-three (33). The contractor is currently working on the removal of the TIKI party boat and is awaiting high tide to complete extraction. The total number of extracted vessels at the end of February reached thirty-one (32) out of thirty-three (33).
- A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds: Contractor continued lightning works in February at the AO Shirly Grounds. Two project variations await approval. Contractor must submit revised pole‑lifting safety measures, activity sequencing, and electrical designs for the new transformer.
- Estate House #2: In February, mobilisation started on Wednesday 25th February 2026, with the erection of the perimeter fence of the site completed. A Notification of Award was issued to Tiger Qi Architecture on 20th February 2026.
- Omar Hodge Fishers’ Wharf: In February, the procurement of the design consultant for the Omar Hodge Fishers’ Wharf was ongoing, with expected contract award in the coming weeks. A project status meeting was held on 10th February with the Premier’s Office.
- MENRCC Office Relocation: In February, the contract signing for the MENRCC Office Relocation project was held on 10th February, followed by a contractor kick off meeting and formal office handover on 19th February. On 27th February, the contractor submitted required bonds and insurance certificates, along with adjustment claims reflecting revised post award insurance premiums.
- Water Optimisation: The defects liability period was in effect until February 2026. On 19th February, CTL reported that the Sabbath Hill meter was functioning correctly, and that network-level remedial work was required to restore optimal performance.
- BVI Health Services Authority Infrastructure Improvements: Design consultancy procurement for departmental renovations is ongoing. Updated Major Peebles Wing roof drawings await review. Four clinic lobby tenders are being evaluated. The Oxygen Generator Building is complete and in defects liability until March 2026. Generator connectivity works have mobilised, with site handover set for 3 March 2026. Outpatient furnishings procurement continues pending funding. Building signage and cleaning issues persist, with suppliers coordinating shipments and finalising scaffold submittals.
- Road Town Development Partnership: In February, the submitted evaluation of the submitted bids was completed. The tender notice for construction was published on 20th February with a 24th March deadline. A site meeting on 3rd February 2026 with key utility stakeholders confirmed support for the project, with further engagement planned after the design consultant is onboarded, including outreach to additional utility providers. The RFP for the design consultancy was published on 20th February 2026, with submissions due by 20th March 2026. The campaign for conceptual design of the Roundabout was officially launched on 24th February.
- Farmers’ Reservoir: In February. Alvair issued a detailed email response addressing concerns raised by 7Seas, and the project team is now awaiting formal confirmation from 7Seas that these issues have been resolved. Aquastore submitted the final tank design for the 250,000-gallon reservoir on 2nd February.
