In October 2024, the signing of Statement of Requirements (SoRs) for the Road Town Improvement and Jost Van Dyke (JVD) Pond Restoration projects formally signaled assigning of two additional projects to the RDA. As such, the Road Town Improvement project was in planning phase for October 2024, whilst the JVD Pond Restoration project was in delivery phase. The procurement process for the West End Ferry Terminal project continued with contract clarifications requested and responded to by the consultant and the RDA. The deadline for bid submissions on the West End Ferry Terminal project is extended to 17th January 2025. In other projects, such as the Trellis Bay Welcome Centre, construction activities continued, there was substantial completion of works with installation of plumbing fixtures and electrical works outstanding. For the Water Optimization project, stakeholder engagement was the primary activity. The first training session for Leak Detection Services is scheduled for 25th November 2024. As for the Virgin Islands Agriculture and Fisheries Complex, a contract was signed in October 2024 for the design and construction management, whilst for the Farmers’ Reservoir project, stakeholder engagement continued. At the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre, construction works continued. Internet connection remained outstanding for the installed and commissioned renewable energy system at Pier Park for the Renewable Energy Installations project. For the Halls of Justice project, matters regarding the consultant designer contract were addressed. The planning process continued for the National Cultural Centre, Archives, Library and Museum. This mainly involved communication with government stakeholders regarding project scope and next steps. Similarly, the planning process for the Immigration Detention Centre continued with stakeholder engagement involving the revision of project scope of works and deliverables. With the Statement of Requirement (SoR) for the BVI Health Services Authority Infrastructure Assessment signed in May 2024, the planning process for this project continued with stakeholder engagement in October 2024.
