In August 2025, the RDA continued to work in partnership with Central Government in delivering projects from the Recovery to Development and other Plans. As such, please find attached the Draft August 2025 Monthly Report which details project progress and provides updates on stakeholder engagement, communication, and funding. The Report also has additional sections which place the projects undertaken by the RDA within the broader context of the Recovery to Development, and National Sustainable Development Plans programs, demonstrating progress in implementing overall outcomes.
Project Update Highlights – August 2025 Monthly Report:
- Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre: Practical completion of the Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre was achieved in August 2025. Classes started on September 11th, 2025. The official opening ceremony of the school is scheduled to take place October 13th, 2025.
- Water Optimisation: In August 2025, work continued in installing reservoir meters across the Territory. Additional meters are required to cover all required inflows and outflows at the selected reservoir sites. Required additional meters are scheduled to be ordered and installed in the coming weeks. These meters will improve tracking of water usage and facilitate early leak detection.
- BVI Health Services Authority Infrastructure Improvements: In August, works continued on the oxygen generator building, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2025. RDA issued an invitation to tender for the generator connectivity activity, with a bid submission deadline of 5th September 2025.
- Road Town Development Partnership: In August 2025, the topographic field survey by Adamson Land Surveyors Ltd for the pedestrian walkway was submitted on 8th August. The RTDP stakeholder meeting was held on August 22, to plan out stakeholder engagements for the month of September. Donor meeting is also scheduled for September. A donor webpage and meeting are planned for September, alongside stakeholder consultations.
- Farmers’ Reservoir: Designs for the Reservoir and foundation were submitted in August 2024, and these will complement the engineering designs for the water mains and civil works currently being prepared. This project is scheduled to be completed by October 2026.
